The first territory-wide teacher training took place in November 2024, aiming to encourage the academic community to strengthen communication on anti-bullying efforts in schools and to establish a supportive and collaborative network among educators. Nearly 100 primary school representatives attended the event, received alliance certification, and learn from professional speakers on various topics.
Topic 1: Feeling Safe@Schools -Bullying & Mental Health among HK Primary Students
Research data shows that ensuring students "feel safe at school" is a key factor in preventing bullying. Schools should enhance the awareness and preparedness of all teachers to ensure that, when addressing bullying incidents, they can intervene using proactive, positive, and comprehensive support strategies.

Drawing on international experiences, local schools can incorporate "Social and Emotional Learning" (SEL) into various subjects. Emphasis should be placed on cultivating students' empathy and perspective-taking abilities, highlighting their importance in promoting prosocial behaviour.

Topic 3: The Implementation of Anti-bullying School Rules in Hong Kong
The successful implementation of anti-bullying policies in schools hinges on embracing the principle of "From us and our hearts." This philosophy emphasises the importance of mobilising all teachers and students to take an active role in creating a safe and supportive environment. Moreover, the necessity of fostering proactive, transparent, and collaborative communication with parents is highlighted to ensure a unified approach to preventing bullying.
